In physical education, how to make students self-regulated learning exercise,change from passive acceptance of knowledge for independent learning? How to enablestudents to take the initiative to improve the ability to acq uire knowledge, solveproblems in the teaching process? High students to learn the main initiative to improveinadequacies of traditional teaching methods. Self-regulated learning is an importanttopic in today’s educational research. In the field of c urriculum theory, students self-learning ability as an important curriculum goals; theory in the field of teaching, self-learning is regarded as an important teaching methods; while in the field of learningtheory, self-regulated learning is seen as a effective way of learning. The reason whythe various branches of education regarded as its own independent study research topic,because self-regulated learning not only help improve student achievement in school,and is the foundation for lifelong learning and lifelong development. Autonomouslearning is a way to learn to adapt to the times, is one of the current curriculum reformadvocate of learning, the ability to develop independent learning, has become the focusof the current pedagogical concerns.In this paper questionnaires, experiments and mathematical statistics and otherresearch methods for independent learning in college volleyball teaching implementedexperimentally studied. Experimental research into over one semester, based onsurveys and experiments, obtaining a large amount of data in the experimental classesand control classes, and a statistical analysis to verify the use of independent learning atthe University Teaching Volleyball compared to traditional teaching better able toimprove student learning. The results of research showed that:1.Using self-regulated learning at the University Teaching volleyballteaching,students can better promote physical fitness. 2. Using self-regulated learning can improve student volleyball technical level, asopposed to traditional teaching methods, it can better promote students’ motor skills.3.Using self-regulated learning can stimulate students ’ independent, creativemovement skills, knowledge and desire to explore, more cond ucive to the formation ofstudents’ interest in sports programs of training and lifelong sports ideas.4.Self-regulated learning can give students more time and space for self-learning,the teaching process and thus better control and optimization of the classroom,complete the outstanding established teaching objectives.5. Self-regulated learning approach to overcome many of the traditional ways ofteaching students the passive state in which the disadvantages highlighted the "student-centered" to optimize the teaching process, improve the efficiency and quality ofteaching.
