With the development of society, the demands of society for talents are increasing. Meanwhile, the mode of higher education for talent training is also gradually changing, self-regulated learning ability has become an indispensable individual ability. At present, the studies of autonomous learning include the definition of self-regulated. In educational and psychological field, researchers have separately found the theory of self-regulated learning, features of self-regulated learning, the methods of cultivating autonomous learning ability. However, at present, researches seldom focus on college students, there are few systematic theory. The main researches mostly are concentrated in the middle and primary school students.This dissertation is based on the case of Hubei University. By investigating the state of autonomous learning of Hubei University’s students, It is aimed to suggest effective and practical measures in terms of university management, faculty and students. It is used the questionnaire survey to collect559questionnaires, by using the single factor analysis, multiple comparison analysis and multiple correspondence analysis. Results of the statistics in the questionnaire survey in twelve subscales shows that girls generally behave better than boys in self-regulated learning. The senior generally have stronger ability than junior students in self-regulated learning. According to the results of questionnaire by using Hubei University students as subject, it discusses the present situation and characteristic of autonomous learning of Hubei University students. Finally, we propose suggestions in terms of motivation of learning and learning strategy.
