ObjectThrough the research of schoolchildren public health emergency knowledge leveland influencing factors in Suzhou, understanding the affecting factors and knowledgelevel about schoolchildren public health emergencies, providing scientific evidences forimproving the knowledge level of schoolchildren as well as the prevention and controlof school public health emergency.MethodsWith a self-designed school public health emergency response capacity statusquestionnaire, surveyed42schools in Suzhou, after excluding invalid questionnaires, atotal of23,469valid questionnaires recovered, recovery rate was95.0%. A database wasestablished by using EpiData3.1, The safety knowledge and attitudes score ofschoolchildren was analysed by using SPSS18.0in T-test, variance analysis andmultiple linear regression for statistical inference.Results1, Schoolchildren safety knowledge score Survey showed that safetyknowledge score difference have statistical significance in different regions, differentgenders, different grades, parents of different occupations and different educationstudents (p <0.05), urban schoolchildren safety knowledge average score was66.29,higher than the64.55in rural. Boys safety knowledge average score was66.72, higherthan girls’ score of63.50; primary safety knowledge average score was the lowest, was64.45;65.23followed by middle school students and high school students was65.59,vocational school students scored highest, was66.81; the students parents’ occupationalwere civil servants have the highest safety knowledge score, were66.85and67.36, thestudents’ parents of without occupational have the lowest safety knowledge score, were62.98and63.71; the students which their parents’ education level were undergraduateor above have the highest safety knowledge score, were66.86and63.71, the students which their parents’ education level were illiterate have the lowest score, were58.70and58.27.2, Safety awareness and attitudes scores Survey showed that safety awarenessand attitudes scores difference have significant in different regions, different genders, different grades, parents of different occupations and different education students (p<0.05), urban schoolchildren safety awareness and attitudes score was58.04, higherthan the57.51in rural; Boys safety awareness and attitudes average score was58.86,higher than girls’ score of56.91; primary safety awareness and attitudes average scorewas the highest, was60.24;58.76followed by middle school students and high schoolstudents was56.28, vocational school students scored lowest, was54.60; the studentsparents’occupational were civil servants have the highest safety awareness and attitudesscore, were60.58and60.77, the students’ parents of without occupational have thelowest safety knowledge score, were53.86and54.23; the students which their parents’education level were undergraduate or above have the highest safety awareness andattitudes score, were60.67and61.07, the students which their parents’ education levelwere illiterate have the lowest score, were51.70and53.09.3, Schoolchildren security knowledge sources Survey shows that the mainsource of security knowledge all grades students are TV(73.53%), followed bynewspapers and magazines (55.77%),Network (33.57%), Popular Science (30.85%),Radio (25.58%), for expert lectures, someone told and popular science advertisementare fewer.4, The multiple regression analysis of effecting schoolchildren safetyknowledge score Conducted a multiple linear regression analysis whichschoolchildren safety knowledge score as the dependent variable, schoolchildren, sex, grade, father’s occupation, mother’s occupation, father’s education level, mother’seducation level as independent variables. The results showed that the fitted regressionequation was statistically significant(F=32.705,p=0.000), after co-linearity test, noserious collinearity issues, variance inflation factor (VIF) were less than2, thefitted equations were stable. For hypothesis testing results on the=0.05level of partialregression coefficients, Different lines, sex, father’s education have greater impact forschoolchildren safety knowledge score, statistically significant. Live in the city, the boys, the students which father has a high educational level, the safety knowledge score were higher.5, The multiple regression analysis of effecting schoolchildren safety awarenessand attitudes score Conducted a multiple linear regression analysis whichschoolchildren safety awareness and attitudes score as the dependent variable, schoolchildren, sex, grade, father’s occupation, mother’s occupation, father’s educationlevel, mother’s education level as independent variables. The results showed that thefitted regression equation was statistically significant(F=32.705, p=0.000), afterco-linearity test, no serious collinearity issues, variance inflation factor (VIF) were lessthan2, the fitted equations were stable. For hypothesis testing results on the=0.05level of partial regression coefficients, Different lines, Different lines, sex, grades, father’s occupation, mother’s occupation, father’s education, mother education havegreater impact for schoolchildren safety awareness and attitudes score, statisticallysignificant. Live in the city, the boys, lower grades, parental occupation were civilservants, parents’ education level higher, the safety awareness and attitudes score werehigher.Conclusion1, The schoolchildren safety knowledge level was general, but safety awarenessand attitudes were better.2, Area of residence, sex, grade, parents’ occupation and parents’ education levelare the main factors affecting schoolchildren safety knowledge and safety awareness.3, The main source of safety knowledge in all grades student are TV, followed bynewspapers and magazines, Internet, popular science book, broadcasting, for expertlectures, someone told, popular science advertisement and others were fewer.4, In the work of schoolchildren safe education, school and health departmentshould take different measures and ways under different situations to improveschoolchildren’s level of safe knowledge and safe awareness.
