As one forms of teaching and research activities, high quality class plays an importantrole in educational field, for it helps teachers in improving teaching quality, promotingprofessional development, and enhancing teaching management. However, this popularteaching method has been gradually altered for a long time, thus drawbacks have come out.Based on the methods of observation, investigation as well as literature review, this paper putsforward three main drawbacks of high quality class. These drawbacks like improper in-classteaching which caused by unilateral pursuit of innovation of knowledge, anti-educationalin-class teaching which caused by teacher’s misleading way of education, and insufficientteacher development pattern are stated. In addition, a systematical analysis of the reasons thatcause the above three mentioned drawbacks are put forward. The reasons are misleadingteaching evaluation, improper teaching design pattern,and inappropriate management. For thepurpose of solving these problems, a principle of harmonious combination of teaching andevaluation must be established. Teacher should put emphases on the communication withstudents and create favorable in-class teaching atmosphere. At the same time, leaders atvarious levels should take in charge of high quality class under the guidance of new classreform concept, thus teachers can set specific teaching goals of high quality class.
