Teaching materials are equipment or tools used in teaching, for example books, moduleetc. Teaching materials consists of3main factors which are information, marks or symbolsand any pattern which are used to deliver the knowledge, skills and ideology of that materialsitself. Teaching materials’ definitions are divided into2: limited and broad meanings.materials in broad meaning is the materials that can deepen students’ understanding as well asgive more knowledge to them, example: textbooks, exercises, planned activities, short storiesetc. Teaching materials in limited meaning is the materials that usually used during teachinghours. Materials also can be written by writer, real text that is printed, teacher’s sourcebookand students’ textbook. The materials which are written and designed by teacher him/herselfalso included. In short, materials in broad do not have to in form of published book. Fromthe writing of materials and teacing methods’ point of view, the writer analize contents of it;what do students’ conditions like, learning spirit etc. These things are the source of research.The writer also will analize contents from the way it is written, for example from specialityaspect, use aspect, scientific aspect and attraction aspect.The research of the process of teaching chinese for foreign people have got a lot of result.the thesis’s writer want to introduce teaching material from Waringin Junior High Schoolgrade1which was written by Andreas Januar, chinese name: Liu XiangGuang. inIndonesia, especially Bandung, very few schools that can provide their own materials, most ofthem do not brave to make it because there are quite a lot of chinese language stipulation,another reason is because there is no clear mutual standard for the writing of teachingmaterial. Observation of uniqueness of readings in every chapter, grammar, and word usedalso seen from content, materials etc. Culture background, language, and situations of everycountry are different, so the most fitting materials are those which fit the country and school’circumstances. Thus, it will simplify the students and teachers in using the teaching materials.People know that the stronger china’s economic power is, the more popular chineselanguage is, diplomatic relationship between indonesia and chine also is getting stronger.Thus the chinese learners and users are increasing and effecting the numbers of teaching materials and people’s curiosity about the language. The purpose of this thesis is to givecomtribution towards chinese teachers in imdonesia, especially to Waringin Junior Highschool. Writer wants to give a little knowledge about teaching methods, learning methods andgood-writing methods to the teacher. this research also point at how student can learnchinese well. Writer also used Waringin Junior High School textbook to be analyzed abouttones, vocabulary, grammar, content, exercises, etc. Not only because the writer is an alumnusftom that school but the main purpose is to give more information to Waringin Junior HighSchool.
