In modern society, people have known more and more about the importance of English, so more and more attention is paid in English teaching. In our country, junior middle school English teaching is the basic part of English education. It has a significant impact on the overall level of English Teaching in China. The traditional teaching mode has occupied the main status in English teaching in junior middle school in China for a long time. But with the development of times, the traditional English teaching mode has been unable to adapt to the demands of modern society to the junior middle school English teaching. So our country began to carry out a teaching reform in English teaching in junior middle school.In the process of the reform, Dulangkou Middle School in Shandong province has made great achievements. Its teaching mode is called Dulangkou Mode. Many schools are learning Dulangkou Mode. Yuying Middle School in Tongbai County is one of them. But in the process of applying Dulangkou Mode in junior middle school English teaching in Yuying Middle school, some problems appeared. In order to help us understand Dulangkou Mode better and improve our English teaching, this paper conducts research on the problems.This paper is composed of six chapters. Chapter1is introduction. In this chapter, the background, the significance of the research, the methods of the research and the stages of the research are introduced. Chapter2is review of the literature. At first it shows domestic research status of Dulangkou Mode. Since Dulangkou Mode is a local autonomous learning mode, there is no abroad research about it. The chapter shows the abroad research status of autonomous learning and cooperative learning, because Dulangkou Mode is a combination of autonomous learning and cooperative learning. Chapter3is review of Dulangkou Mode. Firstly, it introduces Dulangkou Mode. Then it analyses Dulangkou Mode’s theoretical basis which includes constructivism and humanism. At last it explores the application of Dulangkou Mode in junior middle school English teaching in Dulangkou Middle School. Chapter4introduces Dulangkou Mode’s learning situation in Yuying Middle school in detail, researches the problems appeared in the process of applying Dulangkou Mode in junior middle school English teaching in Yuying Middle school. It makes s few suggestions in addition. Chapter5is the conclusion. It also declares the limit of this research.
