High school is a critical period of adolescent personality development, Teaching high school students should pay special attention to this period of humanities education.Teaching poetry because of its humanistic,literary, aesthetic and emotional characteristics,Has a natural advantage in promoting the formation of a student of human feelings, which requires us in language teaching activities should make full use of classical poetry to strengthen students’personal emotion.High School poetry teaching helps students appreciate the ability to form a better emotional and uplifting attitude to life, to let students nurtured by the beauty of classical Chinese poetry appreciation of the arts in the United States,US Sentiment in the process,improve the literary quality and taste.In this paper,under the premise of teaching poetry characteristics and needs,using a variety of research methods,high school poetry teaching and research are discussed.Trying to put the teaching of ancient poetry relatively weak human feelings in poetry culture aesthetic,theoretical vision of language pedagogy and psychology to examine and study, trying to explore effective ways of teaching poetry in practice,expect progressively,step by step lead the students into the world of poetry, to develop a positive and optimistic feelings.
