Preschool education is an important part of the national education system, and the starting point of quality-oriented education. What’s more, it is the most basic education to a person, and plays a foundational role in everyone’s later development. Therefore, a lot of countries in the world attach great importance to the development of preschool education. With the continuous development of preschool education career, the professional ability and professional quality of the main implementer of preschool education—early childhood teachers get more and more attention of the society. China also attaches great importance to the early childhood education and early childhood teachers’education. The National Medium and Long-Term Education Reform and Development Plan Outline clearly puts forward the implementing of preschool teachers’ status and treatment according to law, and the strengthening of the construction of preschool teachers’ team. The Third Plenary Session of the18th Central Committee of the Communist Party of China clearly put forward the promotion of reform and development of preschool education. The key to strengthening the construction of preschool teachers’ team is to improve the quality of preschool teachers. In the era of knowledge-based economy, preschool teachers’in-service training is an important way of improving the quality of preschool teachers. China has been exploring measures to carry out preschool teachers’ in-service training, such as the implementation of "National Preschool Teachers Training Plan"; In2012, the Ministry of Education promulgated the "Kindergarten Teachers’Professional Standards(trial)"The United States is one of the most advanced developed countries in the world, so is its preschool education. Since the1950s, the United States has gradually formed a relatively perfect system of preschool teachers’in-service training by increasing economic investment, improving polices and regulations, setting professional standards, reforming teachers’qualification system, building up a diversified training model, establishing new teacher’s training system, and attaching great importance to professional group participation. Serious study of contemporary American preschool teachers’ in-service training system can help realize the purpose of "foreign serve China".By clearing up historical literature and the present situation, this paper has a research on in-service teachers’training system of the contemporary America.In the introduction part, this paper analyzes the significance of researching in-service teachers’ training system of the contemporary America, defines core concepts, clears up the related research results at home and abroad. In the first part, this thesis introduces the history of in-service teachers’ training system of the contemporary America. In the second part, it gives a systematic analysis of the contemporary American teachers’in-service training system from the perspective of economic security, training mode and quality guarantee system, In the third part, it sums up the advantages and shortcomings of contemporary American preschool teacher in-service training by analyzing the contemporary American preschool teacher in-service training system, In the conclusion part, this thesis points out the significance of contemporary American early childhood teacher in-service training system to China based on the previous several parts and the current situation of preschool teacher in-service training in China.
