Study On Multi-Campus Management Model Of Lanzhou University

The multi-campus universities in China are formed under government’s impetus. According to different sources, the multi-campus universities can be divided into three types, which are respectively joint multi-campus, extended multi-campus and mixed multi-campus. Lanzhou University belongs to mixed multi-campus.This paper examines Lanzhou University’s historical background, geographic location and scale of different campuses, pointing out that management system, administration costs, cultural integration and popularity are the problems. In refer to experiences from Zhejiang University, Tongji University, UCLA, University of Tokyo propose solutions. This paper suggests that we can integrate resource and culture to improve our management of multi-campuses.The experiences and lesson of other universities have some reference for building up our Qingbaishi campus of the time.
