Along with the continuous deepening of the higher education system of China, universities with multi-campuses have become a new organization pattern of higher education. The management of universities with multi-campuses is a fresh research topic in China, there's no ripe experience referred to. This paper studies the management of universities with multi-campuses from many ways of theory and practice aiming to be helpful for the management study and practice of universities with multi-campuses. The paper reviews the forming course of the universities with multi-campuses , analyses and compares the good and the bad of management patterns of the domestic and foreign universities with multi-campuses, sums up the general characteristics and summarizes the distinct problems which the management of universities with multi-campuses is facing. In the study of management strategy, the framework for analysing the management of universities with multi-campuses is set up, the basic principles to be obeyed, the foundamental requirements and the objective orientation are defined. According to the characteristics of the universities with multi-campuses, this paper puts forwards strategic measures to work out development plan, to definite the campus orientation, to widen funds-collecting channels, to strengthen the studies of development strategy, etc. and the focal points in the management of personnel matters, disciplines, teaching affairs, scientific studies and rear service. In order to solve the culture conflict of universities with multi-campuses, an idea to conform and reconstruct the culture is given so as to form a better culture foundation for the universities with multi-campuses.
