In the21st century, economic globalization, the popularization of highereducation, international development trends, the domestic demand for qualifiedpersonnel and changes in the reform and opening up, as well as higher educationreform and structural adjustment, many local colleges and universities in China hasentered a new stage of development of the multi-campus. University function islimited due to the conservative and stable long-term focus on the management mode,cannot be brought into full play, and this defect in the management model more in theuniversity expansion for multiple campuses or universities merged into a universitymay be amplified. For this reason, the integrated management of the multi-campusUniversity research, there is a realistic need, which is a multi-campus universitiesneed to improve their function.This paper reviews the formation of multi-campus University of China, thehistorical background and the process of development, points out the advantages ofmulti-campus university with the presence of the multi-campus university’sorganizational structure and management mode are described, sum up themulti-campus university management mode by two main division, in accordance withthe " block "relations division is divided in accordance with the structure and layout.The basis of the theory, select South China University of Technology to research as atypical object, its multi-campus management model, the implementation of results,problems and causes in-depth discussions and analysis of several colleges anduniversities of Guangzhou.
