It takes ten years to grow trees but a hundred years to rear people. Education is fundamental to a country’s enduring prosperity. By expanding the scale of higher education each year, it achieves a leap-forward development from "elite education" to "mass education". The learning problems of college students have caused widespread concern in society. The public is very concerned about the current situation of college students’learning attitudes and learning status. They show care and disappointment for the learning status of many students, thus the value of higher education has been questioned. Learning attitude is an important factor that affects learning, as well as students’subjective reflection in the school education teaching problems.Learning attitude refers to a relatively stable psychological tendency that students have shown in learning and their learning situations. Specific speaking, students’learning attitude includes attitude towards study, attitude towards learning materials, as well as attitude towards teachers and school. There exists learning burnout phenomenon among college students, and they have shown mental weariness in long-term sustainability of mandatory study, thus cause students’escape of learning behavior, which reflect negative learning psychology of the contemporary college students.This study is based on correlational research in learning attitudes at home and abroad, using a questionnaire survey of1,000college students from different grades and professions in three universities in the northern suburbs of Xi’an, aiming to understand the status quo of contemporary college students’ learning attitude, learning objectives and its possible influencing factors. The results show that: college students do have a certain degree of poor learning attitude and lack of learning objectives. After a preliminary screening, the proportion of students who are satisfied with their learning status accounts for only39%, and the proportion of students who are dissatisfied accounts for61%. From this survey we can see that students are not very satisfied with their learning state. About learning objectives, in fact, most of the students have set learning goals, but after that, not all of them can carry out their own plan step by step. Many students do not put the plan and learning process together, so we put forward the "1234"mode in correcting students’ attitude towards learning. In dealing with the issue of retained students, we propose "one grasp three put" principle to improve students’ academic performance and promote the formation of good learning attitude.In the study of college students’ poor learning attitude that affects learning effects, after investigation, we found that students’ learning attitude is affected by personal thought, family education, school education and the combined effect of social aspects. Through the investigation and study on several aspects of factors that affect college students learning attitude, this paper concludes that improving college students’learning attitudes can alleviate harm that is caused by college students’ poor learning attitude. Both family education and school education should play a catalytic role in correcting students’ good learning attitude so as to promote the development of college students’ thought and learning.
