China’s rapid economic growth, people’s living standards increasing, the role of consumption in social economic and cultural life more significant. At the same time, consumer culture is no longer the western social and cultural phenomenon, it has been as a kind of fashion lifestyle marketing to every corner of the globe. This paper analyzes the present situation of college students’ consumption culture and analyze the deep reason behind it is, on the basis of school, family and the society can do feasibility countermeasure, provides Suggestions for the construction of college students’rational consumption culture.First, this paper introduces the research background and research significance, research status at home and abroad, research methods and framework, etc. Combing the current situation of college students’ consumption culture, analyzes the reason and put forward the method to solve the problem, the construction of college students’ rational consumption culture is to solve the main problems, this article is also for research purposes and practical value. In this paper, Clare’s "global system" consumer culture theory, weber’s process of "rationalization" consumer culture theory, baudrillard’s theory of "consumer society","fashion consumption" of simmel, lukacs’s "materialization" theory, the basis of Marx’s theory of "alienation" and so on, draw lessons from the related ideas combined with analyzing the present situation and problems of contemporary college students’ consumption culture research in China. Secondly, this chapter introduces the basic concept of consumer culture, and elaborates the related concept of consumption, consumption habits, consumer education. Again, this paper summarizes the characteristics and problems of contemporary college students’ consumption. Contemporary college students’ consumption culture has the characteristics of practicability, difference, uniqueness, periodically. College students’ consumption have advancing, imbalance, blind consumption,"western" of consumer identity, the network consumption and the real problems such as imbalance. In this paper, and make the corresponding analysis to the problem of consumer culture. Finally, this paper expounds the relevant ways to solve the problem of college students’ consumption culture. The author suggest correct consumption values, attaches great importance to the consumption idea of education, creating a favorable social environment of consumer culture, strengthening rational consumption practices.
