Western society has moved from the traditional to the "production" as the center of the social transformation to a "consumption" as the center community and the world to promote this trend. Consumption is not only the role and contribution to the economy considerably, and in the social and cultural life from the original "marginal role" into the "era of the hero." A new emergence of social transformation, social transformation and this is the wave of globalization, with the gradual expansion to all corners of the world, including China and other developing countries will also be no doubt that the profound impact of this transformation. This transformation is not only a form of socio-economic structure and economic transformation, but also a holistic cultural transformation. Thus, re-examine the sociological perspective of Western consumer culture, for us to understand the current phenomenon of our society of consumption and consumer practices is undoubtedly important instructive.This article focuses on application of alienation, symbol, depending on the social structure of three domains, the use of relevant historical documents that have emerged in this field and relevant experience of data analysis using literature, history and logic of the unity of analysis, comparative analysis and synthesis method of analysis Western consumer culture comprehensive analysis. This paper mainly consists of four parts. The first chapter discusses the dimensions of consumer alienation, including two parts, one is the cause of alienated consumption; the second is the manifestation of consumer alienation. The second chapter discusses the symbolic dimension of consumption, mainly consists of two parts, one symbol consumption causes; the second is the manifestation of symbolic consumption. The third chapter discusses the dimensions of consumer tastes, including two parts, one class of classical Sociology of consumption; Second, Bourdieu's taste consumption. The fourth part discusses the reality of Western consumer culture reflect mainly includes two parts, the value of Western consumer culture and limitations; Second, the western consumer culture Sociology.
