The Effect And Countermeasures Of The Pan Entertainment Phenomenon On Young People’s Outlook On Life

With the accelerating pace of reform, cultural industry is also facing a new transformation. The marketization and professionalization of culture have also brought a lot of problems to the cultural market, and pan-entertainment phenomenon is one of them. In order to compete for the market share, the mass media as a communication carrier continued to catch the attention in the name of entertainment, creating prosperous entertainment culture market. In this entertainment culture, the educational function, guiding function even aesthetic function of the mass media are suppressed, and entertainment effect becomes the only standard of media activities. The public are affected in such an atmosphere of entertainment, especially those teenagers who are not yet mature in ideology. Entertainment information meet the entertainment needs of young people to relax physically and mentally on the one hand, but on the other hand, excessive entertainment definitely have a negative impact on their outlook on life. This article; coming from the realistic situation, analyze the relationship between the mass media’s entertainment features and the development of teenager’s outlook on life, and analyze the mechanism how they impact each other, then proposed strategy dealing with the Pan entertainment of mass media scientifically according to the mechanism.There are three parts of this article. The first part discusses the conception of Pan entertainment phenomenon and its impact on teenager’s outlook on life. In this part, which based on the relationship between entertainment and youth development, the author proposed the entertainment needs of young people which has positive significance for the development of young people. Then the author analyzed the relationship between the youth’s outlook on life and the entertainment function of mass media. Pan entertainment phenomenon of mass media shows in four areas:Pan entertainment phenomenon of news, Pan entertainment phenomenon of television shows, Pan entertainment phenomenon of internet, Pan entertainment phenomenon of advertisement. At last,this part also discusses the negative impact of the teenager’s view of life in the pan entertainment atmosphere basis to theory and practice which includes:decrease of Life responsibility, uncertain of Life dream, making Life value practical, deviation of the Attitude to Life,Sensibility of aesthetic standards.In the second part,we discuss the mechanism how pan-entertainment phenomenon of mass media impact teenagers.This part is mainly started from the three elements of young teenager’s accepted mechanism:subject (youth), object (Pan entertainment ’s content), environment (the peer group).First, the reason why young people would accept the influence of pan-entertainment phenomenon related to their own characteristics. Needs, psychological and moral awareness of young people lead to that they will inevitably be affected by the Pan-entertainment phenomenon. Second, the pan-entertainment content itself also affect young people for if they can accept it. From the contents of the dissemination, it includes stars demonstrate the idol effect, stimulation strengthen the sensory experience, shallow easily cater the needs of relaxation, and secularity enlarge the needs of reality. Third, the peer groups also affect the formation and development of their outlook on life.The third part is on the basis of the discussed above, and discusses the basic strategy of the scientific response to the impact pan entertainment phenomenon of mass media to young people’s outlook on life. First, we should strength the management and utilization of the education functions of mass media: Strengthening the supervision of the media activities and management, Strengthening the social responsibility of the media, Guiding the media and making it consistent with the development of teenagers. Second, we should strength and improve school moral education,improving the ability of teenagers themselves: carrying out the outlook on life education and cultivating teenagers correct outlook on life; carrying out the media education and developing the youth media literacy; carrying out aesthetic education, and cultivating the aesthetic ability of teenagers, developing leisure education and cultivating scientific entertaining of teenagers. Third, we should guide the development of peer groups, and enhance the ability of adolescent self-education:Concerned about the development of peer groups, Encouraging youth health exchanges, Paying attention to the guide of community culture, to establish a positive group atmosphere; Cultivate and concern leader, play the cutting edge exemplary role.
