With the development of society, education has received more and more attention fromevery area of the society. School education is the main part of Chinese education.The qualityof school education fundamentally depends on the quality of teachers.Over the years teacherhas been called the engineer of the human soul.The teacher’s every word and action will affectstudents’. So the teacher’s task is not only to achieve the “teaching”goal,but also “educating”students".For inheriting Chinese culture and developing language charm of Chinese in schooleducation,it is particularly important to develop language charm of Chinese teachers toimprove the literacy of Chinese teachers.How to cultivate the youth with knowledge and culture as language teachers? How tocultivate the students with a correct outlook and values on life and cultivate people who hasthe sense of contributing to the society through learning the subject of Chinese?We all need toput improving the Chinese teachers’aspects of literacy on the first. This paper discusses thetheoretical basis for improving literacy of Chinese teachers, and basic composition andsignificance of Chinese teachers’literacy on the background of the whole society payingattention to teachers’ training and literacy.Finally puts forward some strategies forimproving the literacy of the Chinese teacher.The thesis is divided into four parts:The first part is introduction. Summarizes the reason of choosing the topic,the outlineboth home and abroad, significance and method of the research.The second part is the theoretical basis for improving the literacy of the Chineseteacher in junior high school. Composed of two part,one is the theory of multiple intelligencetheory and the other is the theory of all-round development of people.The third part is the basic form and meaning of Chinese teachers in junior high school.Itexpounds the composition and significance of the literacy of the Chinese teacher from fourparts.They are the Chinese teachers’ cooperative accomplishment,psychological quality,professional literacy and external literacy.The fourth part is the strategies for improving literacy of Chinese teachers in junior highschool. From the four part--Chinese teachers’ cooperative accomplishment, psychologicalquality, professional literacy and external literacy to expound the strategies for improvingthe literacy of the Chinese teacher in junior high school.
