As main subjects of education, teachers and students have never stopped their conflicts. With the rise of internet, their conflict, which becomes more and more furious, has moved into web-based education from traditional education. This issue could hardly be found in present research while teacher-student conflicts in pre-internet ear have been discussed frequently. This paper, consisting of four parts, aims to analyze in detail the source of teacher-student conflicts under web-based education background and research the solutions and related strategies systematically.The first part analyzes the background and significance, the present research, the content and method of this issue.The second part states the theories of teacher-student conflicts, including the connotation and function. This part also discusses what teacher-student conflicts are from the perspective of sociology, pedagogy and psychology, sociology, classifies the conflicts according to different criteria on the basis of research purpose and perspective. We should identify the positive function of teacher-student conflicts as well as the negative function.The third part analyzes the source of teacher-student conflicts in web-based education, which includes the features of web-based education background, such as openness and anonymity, virtuality, decentration of internet, and special symbols of internet communication---internet language; and the development of the conflicts, which moved from traditional school education into web-based education; and the characteristics of the main subjects in internet education, that is the characteristics of teacher and students, as well as their communication. the relationship in web-based education could be described as "emotional person---emotional person" which is distinct from "social person---social person" in traditional education because of abandoning their "identity" in traditional society under the interactive relationship network education background.The last part provides solutions to handle teacher-student conflict. First, they can communicate with each other about their behavior directly on a friendly basis to avoid or eliminate the conflict. Second, teacher should weaken their traditional roles and strengthen the equal relationship with students, who could express their own opinions.
