The Social supports of advanced cancer patients, as a new field of social work inthe community are getting more and more attention. Cancer is a threat to humanhealth seriously, a malignant disease for a long time, around the treatment of cancerhas become a huge investment in medical science. The formation of innovative aremedical personnel training, drug treatment, medical device research and developmentof checkups means, thus enrich and improve the medical model of advanced cancerpatients constantly. Nevertheless, cancer to patient’s relatives, and for the formation ofthe pain in the community, it is still not to be underestimated. Medical treatment ofcancer is not only the need to focus on, how to focus on the living conditions ofpatients with advanced cancer, how to improve the social environment for advancedcancer patients, is an important aspect of enhancing ethical standards and socialcommunity building.In this paper, the Li Ka Shing Foundation Hospice Social Work ServicesDemonstration Project—Shenyang Normal University team involved in home carefor cancer patients with the research, using the method of qualitative researchconducted exploratory research. I wade through the field interviews for six months,focusing on mining service object’s own potential to help their solve the mainproblems, as well as a six-month full participation of the entire project to collectfirst-hand information for research and analysis. This paper focuses the using ofprofessional social work method, to follow the standard of social work in values anduse the scientific methods. In the process, I do fully respect the client’s ideas, fortaking the main case to uphold the intervention process-oriented empathy, focused onthe main issues arising in the case of disease treatment, helping to mobilizecommunity resources for solving the main problem, the use of rational-emotivetherapy to ease the client’s negative emotions. Give full play to their own advantagesas well as the help service object’s dig their own advantages, so that the main case andfamily members have the confidence and ability to deal with the process of treatingthe disease.I worked in Shengjing Hospital of China Medical University Hospital Hospiceorganization relying on the patient to provide support necessary medicine. Throughthe six main cases in the field interviews, I found that the relationship betweenhusband and wife, patients and families, good and bad economic conditions, the sickgender roles in the family, intergenerational relationships for children and adultgrown-up, the main individual case mentality and lifestyle has a very importantimpact on the development of the illness and disease treatment. There are differentmanifestations of the disease in patients with different types. I will verify thepossibility of different types to patients with multi-social care in the text. Hospice project in the course of practice, I tried to put the patient’s psychological status, familyrelationships (marital relationship, child relationship), economic status, social supportin these areas as the basic elements of hospice patients with advanced cancercommunity treatment system.I will do Hospice work involved mainly related content is divided into four areasof the relationship, that are mental state, family care conditions (family relations),economic status, social support. The relationship between these four aspectsconstitutes non-medical elements in hospice services fundamental aspects. Aboutunderstanding the relationship between these four aspects, I called social modelconcept in hospice services. This is to promote the development of the cause further,for good hospice services on the combination of theory and practice, have prepared,have planned activities and conduct clinical intervention programs reasonable, thereare practical guidance and reference.
