“Public pedagogy” is one of a set of fundamental courses training students in normalcolleges and its main functions are to give the future teachers the education beliefs, career ideals,educational knowledge, and teaching skills. The classroom teaching of "public pedagogy " is thecenter method to achieve the course objectives and tasks. Its quality directly affects the coursefunctions and effects, and has further influence on the program objectives of education majors.Interactive teaching is a teaching system to mobilize students’ learning initiatives andinterests and form the harmonious relationship between teachers and students by discussion andcommunication under the inspiration and guidance of teachers. Its objectives are to promote theall-round development of students’ knowledge, emotion and ability and improve the teachingquality. This kind of teaching is not only a kind of open, developing, dynamic, interactiveteaching and learning process, but also a life to life communication process. How to improve thestudents’ learning interests to "public pedagogy" and cultivate the students’ ability to analyzeproblems and teaching skills is a big problem in the "public pedagogy” teaching. This paperinvestigates the situation of interactive teaching of “public pedagogy “in Kashgar normal college.On the basis of existing research results and in the full investigation of the existing interactiveteaching research and teaching reform of public pedagogy in normal colleges, this paper selectsstudents in public pedagogy course as sample, searches for existing problems in the interactiveteaching of “public pedagogy” in kashgar normal college, analyzes the causes of theseproblems,,and proposes the solutions to the problems in interactive teaching of public pedagogyin kashgar normal college. Through questionnaires and interviews, this paper researches thesituations and factors of interactive teaching in public pedagogy course in the following aspects:teachers’ perspectives of interactive teaching, teaching abilities, teachers’ own factors, students’major acceptance, their future carrer tendency, learning abilities and habits, the second languageteaching, the class capacitry and on the teaching contents and so forth. Through analyzing thedata of questionnaires and interviews, this paper analyzes the reasons of the inefficiency ofpublic pedagogy teaching, and puts forward the corresponding suggestions, and proposes somenew views of the "public pedagogy” interactive teaching.
