As the changes of social and economic structure, as well as the acceleratedurbanization process and the adjustment of small and medium-sized schools’ layout,the local governments finance and choose to build schools in rural-urban fringe zonesto let the children of suburb and migrant workers enter school, to promote thebalanced development of basic education positively, and to try the best to do a goodjob in education that people are satisfied with.The source and composition of the students in rural-urban fringe zones arerelatively complex, and how to improve and strengthen the educational managementof students and innovate the school-running model base on the characteristics of thestudents have become a problem that attracts the attention of educationaladministrative departments, schools and society.This topic chose the characteristics of the D Junior Middle school students inrural-urban fringe zone of Jinzhou as the research object, used the research methodssuch as questionnaire survey, interviews among teachers and students, visit andobservation and so on, analyzed the characteristics of students from the source ofstudents, learning state, behavioral norms, psychological changes and interpersonalcommunication. This topic had generalized some obvious problems that the studentslack the collective sense of belonging; their school records are generally low, theirinferiority complex is prominent and they are not good at social interaction. And thistopic tends to analyze the reasons for the problems deeply in the perspective of thenegative influence of social environment, the abnormality of family education and the lack of innovation of the student management, and proposed that set up thehuman-oriented educational concept, establish an effective management mechanismand system, innovate the ways of characteristic schooling, pay attention to thepsychological counseling and humanistic care, establish targeted strategies andmeasures that gather the educational power of school, family and the society, providetheoretical analysis and actual case for deeply studying the construction anddevelopment of urban-rural schools.At the same time, this topic summarized therunning conditions of the schools through the empirical research of D middle schoolin Jinzhou, and went on exploring the ways of characteristic schooling, strengthen theimprovement of the educational management of students, insisted on respect forindividual character, cultivate students’ diversified development, and providedreference for the promotion of basic education to deepen educational mode.
