Health is the ages people have been pursuing and exploring the theme is a great wealthof mankind. World Health Organization definition of health is given under this:"Health is notjust the absence of disease, but in the physical, mental and social well-adapted to all threeaspects of a state." With the advent of the21st century, people have greatly improved in thephysical level, but competitive society, the work pressure increases, the accelerated pace oflife, resulting in people physically and mentally exhausted, the high incidence of disease andserious health threat. According to a survey conducted by the World Health Organizationstatistics, around the global only5%of people is real healthy, the disease accounts for20%ofthe population, while the remaining75%in a healthy condition (a cross between a specialstate of health and disease).In terms of sub-health prevention, sports have special effects. It can make physicalfitness, mental and physical pleasure and relieve stress. It not only promotes good health, butalso plays an active role in preventing diseases. Square Dance as an emerging sport in fitnessfield has been more and more popular in people. Square Dance exercises can promotephysical health, relieve tension caused by work, make fitness body shape, cultivate elegantartistic temperament, promote harmonious interpersonal relationships and obtain physical andmental pleasure, so in terms of sub-health prevention also will be able to play active role.In this paper, the author makes Square Dance for the experimental means and selects40middle-aged women who are between40to59years old with a sub-health status asexperimental subjects. Both the control group and the experimental group have20women. Inthe experimental group subjects have exercised Square Dance for three months while ones inthe control group did not do any regular sport exercises during the experiment. After theexperiment, analysis of the experimental group and the control group before and afterexperiment to study the interference effects of Square Dance influences Middle-aged women"sub-health”. The results showed that:1.After3months of the experiment, the number of sub-health undergone significantchanges. Most of the moderate and severe sub-health became mild and the number of severe,moderate sub-health reduced.2.In sub-health aspects of physical experiments for middle-aged women, the interferenceeffects of six sub-health situations that insomnia, muscle pain, hair loss, obvious physicalfatigue, cold hands and feet, frequent colds of intervention health reached a significant level(P <0.05).3.In the psychological sub-health aspects, the experimental intervention effects ofmiddle-aged women’s tired, depression and anxiety reached a significant level (P <0.05). Butto the other symptoms it did not make any significant changes. So Square Dance forimprovement of psychological sub-health still has to be improved.4.In the aspects of improving social relationships that friendships, colleague relations,and spousal relationships the experiment did not reach significance level (P>0.05). But italso had positive impact in some extent.Overall, the sub-health intervention effect of Square Dance for middle-aged women isobvious and positive. It is able to reduce the extent of sub-health and it is also one of theeffective means of prevention and treatment of sub-health. Since Square Dance is a sportwhich physical activity as the main form, so its intervention of the body sub-health is the best.Although the sub-health intervention for psychological and social relations of sub-health isnot very good, but it also had positive impact in some extent. So we should promotevigorously, continue to spread to make more people understand and join the practice.
