Recently, the strategy of China’s higher education has changed from elite education to popular education, the number of college graduates has increased quickly, in the meantime, and they faced with great psychological pressures. In this situation, if the students couldn’t adjust themselves in psychologically or get help from the others, it will be harmful to their physical and mental health; some may even lead to crimes or other extreme terrible behaviors like suicide, and may greatly influence the instability of social harmonious. Therefore, how to encourage the students to deal with the problems of employment effectively, obtain more social supports, and enhance the employment pressure tolerance, is a very urgent problem. The counselor is a bridge between the college and students as well as the backbone of college students management, playing an irreplaceable role in the process of helping the college graduates deal with such psychological pressure in job market.By using questionnaire and case interview among500college final grades and50counselors in shaanxi and analyzing the statistical data in this study, some conclusions are drawn as follows:(1) The whole level of employment psychological pressure is higher.(2) The level of employment psychological pressure of college students has a significant difference due to various genders, majors, students with different family economic conditions.(3) The More social support for college students, the employment psychological pressure will be lower.(4) Counselors on college students’ social support are mainly information support and skills to support, psychological support is less, the low level of overall support.(5) Counselors for college students’ social support level is higher, its corresponding employment psychological stress level is lower. Especially in the employment competition environment, professional supply and demand contradiction, employment psychological expectations, on college students’ social support effect is very obvious.In view of the above conclusions, some suggestions are proposed in this study. Society, government and universities should further strengthen the degree of recognition to the attention of the instructor, scientifically with the counselor, and constantly strengthen the specialization and professionalization of the training, to better in the process of employmentguidance for its advantage of social support teachers create conditions and at the same time,the counselor should strengthen their theoretical study and quality education, actively explorethe methods and way to provide social support for college students and perfecting socialsupport system, effectively alleviate the pressure of the college students’ employmentpsychological.
