Analysis Of2000-2010China Sports Journalism Communication Field

Since the beginning of21century, the sports journalism andcommunication came in a rapid development era.The scale of sportsjournalism and communication education expansed, the number ofspecialization media increased. Experts from universities and reportersfrom mass media achieved fruitful results in sports journalism education,sports journalism theory, the study of the practice of sports journalism.In order to get an objective understanding of the basic situation ofChina’s sports journalism communication field over the past decade, thisstudy using bibliometrics method, content analysis method, literature, logicanalysis method and other research methods analyzed515papers fromthree kinds core journals in2000-2010.I analyzed papernumbers,distribution on fund papers, Author information (age structure,academic qualifications and professional titles, geographical distribution,institutional distribution, the core author), citation information (citations andaverage citations, citation type, citation language), the research objects,research direction, research methods, research hotpot, and get the resultsas follows:Sports journalism and communication research has developed rapidlyin this decade, the number of research papers, showing the trend ofsteadily from less to more, sports journalism and communication researchis entering a period of great development, but the total amount of researchpapers is a little less. Journal source distribution presents no regularity andimbalanced, researchers are more interested in publishing the researches inthe journals of journalism and communication. News lovers, SportsCulture Guide, News, Press Circles and Media Observer are published mostpapers. Fund paper rate is low, number of Fund Project output is small.Provincial research is a major source of research Fund. Sports CultureGuide and Journal of Wuhan Institute of Physical Education published mostfund project papers. Paper citation rate and average citation are low,citation language is unitary. The main direction that researchers concernedis theoretical research and practical research.The research on history ofsports journalism and communication is small.newspapers and TV are stillthe main objects of study.The main force of China’s sports journalism communication fieldresearch is the researchers who have high professional titles and werehighly educated, aged between30-40years old from universities in theeconomically more developed regions. Shanghai sport university have themost core researchers in this field. There are24core researchers fromdifferent sport universities and Comprehensive universities.Over the past decade, the research focus in China sports journalismcommunication field are: sports journalism research, sportscommunication research, sports journalism entertainment research, sportsjournalism and communication in major sports events, sports journalismcommunication research on traditional media and sports journalismcommunication research on new media.
