With the development of the social productive forces, vocational and technical education arose as an independent education system. As the continuous development of vocational and technical education, the research of the vocational and technical education was shown upward trend. The research of the vocational and technical education has varied gradually from meeting the national demand for the development of vocational education to the exploration and study of a systematic discipline. The Vocational and Technical Education copy from Renmin University of China is a high-quality periodical to explore the development of the vocational and technical education of China, covering the research of party and the country’s important policy trend on the development of the vocational education, the classical theory and marrow of the theory of scholars in this field, which have great academic value and advanced academic achievements. The research of this publication combines the hot spots in theory to the social practice, presenting more important hot spots and difficult problems in this field, and provides a more high-end research platform for vocational education research.Through the statistics and analysis of The Vocational and Technical Education and associated literature copy of Renmin University of China in1996-2012, it was found that the research of China’s Vocational and Technical Education presented the following characteristics. Thirdly, the theme of the vocational and technical education research tended to the exploration of teaching curriculum and teaching problems. The second characteristic was that the main body of the vocational and technical education research mainly concentrated in colleges and universities. Colleges and universities included normal universities, common colleges, higher vocational colleges, colleges and universities which, have become an increasing role as vocational education research forces. Then, educational and research institutions are also important parts. Furthermore, research forces exist in non-educational and research institutions, such as newspapers, magazines and publishing houses. The third characteristic was the source the publication. Educational publication has been an important literature source of vocational and technical education research, while newspapers and comprehensive publications’ proportion are declining by years. And educational publications and university journals become an important source of literature in this field. The fourth characteristic was the cooperation of the author. The author for one article accounted for the majority of the articles contained in The Vocational and Technical Education copy from Renmin University of China.
