Dissertation is important way and form of expression to academic innovation. Analysis dissertations have both theoretical and practical significance. The study takes 100 dissertations from Vocational and Technical Education masters of ECNU as research objects. By using content analysis method, we analyses research objects from four aspects: quantities, research themes, research methods, quotations and bibliographies. By analysis these dissertations, we can find the tendency of master's dissertations' development, and propose strategies to future students. This paper includes four chapters:The first chapter talks about background, significance, and present situation of the research.The second chapter explains procedures and methods of this study.The third Chapter is analysis of these dissertations. According to the quantity of dissertations, development stage of TVET is divided into three stages: initial stage, stable stage and growth stage. More than half of the dissertations are about "the foreign TVET","teachers and students","training". Only a few of these dissertations are about "thinking of educators","history and law of TVET". The dissertations are mainly basic research. The most widely used research method of the objects is literature analysis. Quotation of dissertations are mainly masterpieces and journals.The fourth chapter is comparison and evaluation of these dissertations. Through comparison with the similar disciplines, we find that most dissertations are basic research. The research methods of dissertations are bald, and fulfill standard of the dissertations. There are not a lot but diversified quotations of these dissertations. On the whole, the form of dissertations is unified, standardized, measure up the basic requirements of dissertations. And we give the proposals to the composer of future dissertation.
