Structural contradictions in the employment of college graduates are mainly reflected in the unbalanced demand and supply of talent in the labor market. The phenomenon that college students can not find work while companies can’t hire people occurs frequently. Different regions, industries, sectors require different education background, specialty and professional skills requirements from graduates, besides, college graduates themselves are selective for jobs, and thus structural contradictions of specialty, industry, profession and region resulted.Firstly, this thesis conducted research towards the employment of college graduates from the perspective of professional structure which highlighted the structural shortage and unemployment. The former showed that employers are unable to recruit college graduates while the latter manifests college students cannot find jobs. In general, issues of professional structural employment are longstanding. Part of professions remains long-term unemployment but some are in short supply. By the analysis of its variation trend, the professional structural employment was periodical. In the view of employment levels, the industry with low rate of college students easily got jobs, and excessively competition will aggravated structural unemployment.Secondly, this thesis researched problems in the employment of college graduates in the view of industrial structure. From the perspective of total structure, the whole industries show an order of "third, second and first", the third industry made the greatest contribution and decided the change of the total employment, the second industry had the fastest absorptive capacity of employment. From the perspective of increment, the first industry had the lowest contribution to increment, the consistency between the second industry’s increment and the whole development trend strengthen significantly, the industrial structure and employment structure tended to be rational. From the perspective of structural deviation, college students in the first industry had short supply, the structural employment contradiction were highlighted, the industrial structure and employment structure tended to be rational, while the third industry’s demand on college students tended to saturated.Thirdly, this thesis researched problems in the employment of college graduates in the view of profession structure. From the perspectives of the total and incremental structure, agriculture, forestry, animal husbandry and fisheries, whether from the aggregate employment or the composition rate of industry, had low levels; a new force sudden rose from manufacturing, wholesale and retail trade industries with huge potential to absorb college graduates; The iron rice bowl "industry were still college students’enthusiastic industry, but the proportion of college students in it had declined. From the perspective of deviation degree, the secondary industry had a strong absorption capability. The performance of various sectors in the third industry was complex, which could be roughly divided into three categories, i.e. excessive competition industry, talent pool industry and employment potential of the industry. Finally, this thesis researched problems in the employment of college graduates in the view of region. Structural differences existed in different regions of economic system to attract students. Results showed that the Pan-Pearl River Delta regional economy entity had the highest attraction on college students, followed by the regional economies of the Pan-Yangtze River delta and Pan-Bahia bay area economies, and Midwest ecological economic zone had the weakest attraction.
