With the rapid development of knowledge economy and the background for new curriculum sign and new teaching material background of high school biology, building a student-oriented development teaching model is the need of curriculum reform. Self-regulated learning is a kind of students’active participation to class teaching learning, is the basic of individual that acquire life-long education and life-long development. So it is important to improve the ability of self-regulated learning in practice of self-regulated learning during the process of high school biology teaching. In this thesis, after searching the current achievements in thesis research of self-regulated learning, the current status of self-regulated learning in biology teaching were investigated in the first high school affiliated to Central China Normal University, and the "guidance-the independent study" teaching model is proposed and applied to different teaching material.The dissertation is divided into seven parts.The preface introduces the background and significance of self-regulated learning in the current class teaching.The second part reviews the history and current status of self-regulated learning both at abroad and home.The third part first discusses definitions of self-regulated learning, then describes the characteristics and theoretical basis of self-regulated learning, and finally analyses the internal factors and external factors that affect self-regulated learning.The fourth part presents the results and analyses of the questionnaire to status of self-regulated learning of biology in high school.The fifth part proposes the biology teaching mode of "guidance-the independent learning" that includes "define the targetâ†'stimulate learning motivation of studentsâ†'learn by oneselfâ†'discuss with others in a groupâ†'he detailed illustration of teacherâ†'feedback and evaluation", and applies the teaching mode to the new lesson, the special subject review lesson and the experiment lesson of high school biology.The sixth part evaluates the effect of "guidance-the independent learning" in teaching practices, and discusses the limitations and application perspectives of "guidance-the independent learning".
