The Research Of Parenthood Conflict And The Corresponding Atrategies About Parents With Intellectual Disability

Parenthood conflict is caused by disagreements between parents and children. If the conflict can’t be properly handled,which may lead to family breakdown or crime.Multiple factors can influence parenthood conflicts and resolvement,while the family environment may be the most important one. So the writer conducted in-depth study of the proble and get the following results:(1) Parents with intellectual disabilities perceived family cohesion, achievement orientation, culture, entertainment are lower than the national norm, but controllability and contradiction are higher.(2) Parents with intellectual disabilities perceiveed lower levels of parent-child conflicts Housework and daily life were the focus of conflict.(3) Parents deal with the conflict with children, the more inclined to adopt "subservient type and hold" type of conflict management strategies, and less use of "adversarial and problem-solving" approach, at least a "third party intervention" processing policies(4) Family can predict the conflict and environment the corresponding strategies.(5) In order to deal with the conflicts efficiently, writerwant to help the family creat harmonious atmosphere though social work.
