A Study For The Church University Participating In Rural Education In Moder China

In the modern Chinese education, the church university as the beginning of the Chinese modern higher education, it has had a profound influence to China modern higher education and even the entire social development. However, the church university has experienced a tortuous process. Especially after the republic of China had been founded, church university with strong religious color by many inside and outside factors, its development is facing a big trouble. In order to get out of the fetters of development, modern church university constantly practice "localization" and "Chinesization". In many path, to participate in rural education is the most important measures for the church university. Whether in or outside of school, church university with the spirit of "Chinese service" principle, to participate in rural education widely.Through the efforts, the church university not only won the people’s sympathy and recognition to some extent, also to promote the development of itself. Therefore, this article trying to do some preliminary study for the modern church university to participate in rural education in the history, in order to provide some references for the development of the current rural education and higher education.Based on the above analysis, the first part of this paper will discuss the causes that the church university participate in rural education from the internal and external aspects. The church university to participate in rural education has not only the inner reasons, but also the bondage of external factors.The church university to participate in rural education is the result of joint action inside and outside factors.The second part reviews the details that the church university serviced for the rural education in the universities. Specifically, this part discuss it respectively from the rural education curriculum, teachers, academic research, the creations of department, strengthening cooperations with other organizations and agencies.It demonstrates fully the profile that the Church University participate in the rural education in school.The third part, on the basis of this paper discusses that the church university enter into the rural education in the countryside. Therefore, it is necessary to make a further analysis on characteristics of Church University participation in rural education.The fifth part is some thoughts to the Church University.During the development of rural education,the Church University participate in the rural education basis on education,as the test area as the starting point, step by step and all-around.The most important is that the church university pays special attention to women and children’s education,and had great significance at the time. Indeed, the church university to attend to the rural education also has a strong religious color, which is its own backward and conservative side.Finally, it’s the conclusion of this paper.
