Elementary education curriculum reform is the core link of quality-oriented education systemin improving basic education stage. Since the21st century, elementary education curriculumreform had been carried out all around the country and received unprecedented attention.In thebackground of new curriculum reform, high school language curriculum standard requiresteachers designing teaching activities involving the three dimensions as "knowledge and ability,process and methods, emotional attitude and values", the purpose is to improve the students’Chinese accomplishment. Teachers need to grasp the characteristics of Chinese teaching andadvocate independent, cooperative, inquiry learning mode, as to build an open and energeticlanguage classroom in high school.Chinese classical poetry is the treasure of Chinese civilization, which is a relatively ancientliterary style in the human civilization. In new curriculum standard,it mentions to culturestudent’s national spirit and shape noble personality, making the students good enough to inheritChinese civilization, which posses a grate meaning to Chinese ancient poems teaching.This paperconducts the research from two dimensions of learning methods and teaching methods,which isbased on the new curriculum standard in high school. On the basis of investigation,the paper aimsat to conclude the problems existing in ancient poetry in high school language teaching currently,and to analysis its reasons.Then we put forward some feasible teaching strategies.
