The education of Mongolian nationality is the essential part of the minoritynationality education. Discussion on Mongolian student (students who study andteach in Mongolian) meets the requirement of nationality bilingual education.However, the education quality is not satisfied, one of the most important reasons isthe low teaching ability of teacher. So the discussion on the teaching ability ofbilingual teachers will help to improve the ability of the teachers, organize a team ofqualified bilingual teachers and be meaningful for improving the teaching quality.Our article based on doing research to the bilingual teachers who come fromthree primary schools of downtown and rural areas of Achi, Nei Mongol(Ourbilingual teachers means teachers teach Chinese in Mongolian school.) We have donesurvey for all35bilingual teachers at these three schools and we choose three teachersfor class observing at each school (the first teacher with rich teaching experience, thesecond teacher with less teaching experience, the third teacher with little teachingexperience).We also choose three teachers for future discussion from above.Our research analysis the teaching ability of bilingual teachers from languageexpressing ability, teaching design ability, teaching processing ability, teachingassessment ability and teaching innovation ability. Most of the teachers can meetrequirement on language expressing ability. About teaching design ability, mostteachers believe that they can use the teaching material well, however, some ofteacher do not think they can do it well. Most teachers can achieve teaching goals notonly on teaching environment design ability but also the teaching activity organizingability. However, about teaching assessment ability, most teachers do not evaluatetheir teaching content and the reaction of students. Most teachers are lack of teachinginnovation ability.According to our survey and discussion, we find that the main factors influenceteachers’ teaching ability as follows: support of government, teaching institution,school and teacher herself or himself.According to the above research, this article gives some advice and suggestionon how to improve the teaching ability of bilingual teachers.
