Shihezi University is the only group a "211project" key construction university, with the meeting ofXinjiang and the national medium in2010and long-term education reform and development plan outline(2010-2020), the promulgation of the Xinjiang production and construction corps higher education is facingnew development opportunities. Shihezi University has special historical mission and practical function to adaptthe corps and Xinjiang for high-level talented person’s demand and to further promote the graduate educationcause rapid development. It will be better to serve the society functions for national higher educationdevelopment and the "stability in Xinjiang, Prosperity of Xinjiang, the prosperous common people(Richpeople), solid edge" to make more contribution in the future. Therefore, it is a must to face and solve majorproblems that is how to form conforms to the regional characteristics of postgraduate student research activitypositive countermeasures and mechanism, to meet the Xinjiang regional economic and social development forkinds of talented person’s demand and Shihezi University postgraduate student education further reform anddevelopment.This study sees the scientific research of masters as a direct subject and uses comprehensively bothmethods of qualitative and quantitative research to survey its status, causes and propose countermeasures.Firstly, Summarized the existing research of the theory, elaborates the connotation and characteristics ofscientific research activities; At the same time, the investigation on the Status of scientific research of masterswho are extracted from different regions and different types of colleges is carried out, which includes thepurpose and wishes, times, practices, achievements, feelings, guidance and surroundings of scientific research.We can draw the following conclusions through statistical analysis on scientific research of overall, differentgrades and professionals from this study: the school, teacher and graduate itself generally pay attention toscientific research,but all aspects still has some problem that not allow to ignore.There are three main problems:(1) the scientific research and time is differ, and there is a professional and grade of the significant differencesbetween;(2) scientific research training form a single, academic communication is not enough;(3) the results ofscientific research is acceptable, and in professional, there were significant differences between grade. Thispaper analyzes reasons from educator’s factors,learner factors, education influence three elements. Theresearchers believe that an important reason is that teacher guidance function not ideal, a single pattern, thepostgraduate student yourself hard enough, learning method is not scientific, the lack of problem consciousness,scientific research initiative is not enough, the school scientific research equipment and material lack of old,scientific research atmosphere is not strong and other social many restrictions.Therefore, in combination withthe domestic and international advanced experience, based on the basis of actual Shihezi university, this studyputs forward Suggestions based on the scientific research train postgraduate students scientific research abilityof the measures:strengthen the teacher guidance functions, leading the postgraduate student academicinnovation;Strengthen the autonomy learning, improve the postgraduate student research initiative, buildscientific ecological environment, to train postgraduate research quality.The value of this study lies in:to begin with, expand the scope of the study for scientific research and enrich postgraduate student research activity basic theory, there is guidance for countermeasures which aretaken to improve the status of research to play a vital role in training; In the second place,there is valuablereference for improving scientific research and reforming postgraduate education. At the same time, theinvestigation of scientific research supplies managers, teachers and postgraduate students who look atcomprehensively the scientific research with a first-hand reference, and to provides reliable basis for reformingof China’s postgraduate education and building the quality assurance system of higher education. To furtherpromote the postgraduate education cause rapid development in Xinjiang, Xinjiang great-leap-forwarddevelopment and stability for the realization of the historical mission to provide more high-level talents andcontinuous spiritual motivation and intellectual support.
