Triangle is one of the important parts of high school mathematics. It contains rich knowledge of function and mathematical method. Learning triangle can improve students’ computing ability, spatial imaginative ability and logical thinking ability. However, it is very difficult for learning and teaching.What is the requirement of "Curriculum standards" for triangle? How can you present the requirement of "Curriculum standards" when writing teaching materials? How can the students learn the context of triangle? How does the teacher teach it? What is the real reasons for difficult learning and difficult teaching? How can we improve the learning and teaching in the context of triangle? And what do you do?Based on my experiences on high school teaching, I studied the above questions as follows:Through reading the related literature, I learned the new course ideas. The context and requirement of triangle has been well understood. The feature and guide for learning have been well analyzed for the book published in public press (Edition A).Taking the students mathematical basis, learning habits and learning situation into account, we investigated and recorded the process of student learning triangle. And we analyzed and summarized the existed problem and difficulty in students’learning.Based on daily teaching experiences and experiments, we discusses the problem from different ways, such as shaping students’quality, training learning interest, guiding learning methods, consolidating double-basis, developing mathematical ability, penetrating mathematical idea, conceptual understanding, mastering formula, modeling, using information technology, and so on.Finally, we summarized the methods improving the teaching and learning. We propose that the teachers should absorb the advantages of Chinese and western mathematical education. They should concern about the students’ quality of strong will and learning interest. It is important to guide the learning method and consolidate the double basis. Moreover, the teachers should emphasize on discussing mathematical problem, punctuating mathematical methods, developing the students’mathematical ability and improving their mathematical quality.
