Research-The Cultivation Of College Students’Awareness Of Charity,Aking Universities In Fujian Province For Example

The eighteenth Party Congress suggests that we should improve the socialassistance system and support the development of charity. The primary task of the development of charity is to cultivate and enhance people’s awareness of charity. As one of the important position of the construction of spiritual civ ilization, university is an important place to spread charity spirit and cultivate the awareness of charity. It also undertakes the important task of promoting as well as strengthening the students’ awareness of charity.The article is divided into five parts, the first part discusses the practical and theoretical significance of the research, reviews the literature of the past, analyses the method of cultivating the awareness of charity which in the domestic and overseas. According to the cultivation of foreign developed countries in charity consciousness, the article also proposes the inspiration and the meaning of reference.The second part states the importance of cultivating charitable consciousness in universities. That cultivation can help to form the good thought and moral concept, to establish a strong sense of social responsibility, to inherit and carry forward the good traditional culture of China. And the cultivation is conducive to building a harmonious campus environment, at the same time, it helps to broaden the source of charity fund in universities.The third part analyzes the current situation of College Students’ awareness of charity. Universities in Fujian Province as an example to investigate, in view of the college students of charitable pursuits, charitable view, participation in charitable activities, motivation of charity behavior, the article suggests the overall situation in the charity cognition and perceptions of the charity consciousness on contemporary students.The fourth part analyzes the current situation and problem of College Students’ awareness of charity. Through these four aspects-the social reasons, the reasons of school, the family reasons and the personal reasons to analyze.The fifth part puts forward the countermeasures to cultivate students’ awareness of charity in universities. The cultivation of College Students’ awareness of charity is a long-term process, and it needs all the efforts to obtain certain result, suggesting to set the overall goal and branch objectives of college students’awareness of charity. The article proposes that the cultivation of College Students’ awareness of charity should follow the principle of unity of Knowing-Doing, hierarchical classification principle, practical service principle. And it puts forward the methods of cultivating college Students’ awareness of charity, pointing out the need of combining the ideological and political course, promoting the transformation of charitable consciousness. To strengthen the research of charity problems, we should take good use of scientific research in universities. And the article also suggests to make innovative ways, to improve the charity culture education. We could strengthen social practice, transforming the concept of charity into action. It is good to strengthen cooperation, set up evaluation mechanism of charitable behavior. And it is said that we should strengthen the organization, explore the charity "return" mechanism; Establishing home-school links and building multiple charity culture system are also said.
