Training highly-skilled applied talents has become an inevitable trend in highervocational education. Developing modern vocational education is highlighted at the18thparty congress. Lu Xin, China education secretary, said “Vocational education is aneffective means to enhance national development ". Teachers’ development is the mostcore elements in china’s higher vocational education. But the late start of China’svocational education, the hindered construction of teachers’ professional channel, the weakresearches are nowadays’ reality. Teachers’ level is fundamental core competences invocational colleges. And the performance evaluation is an important way to enhance theoverall quality of teachers.In this study, Jiangxi Vocational College of Finance and Economics (nationalbackbone college) is the research object, I applied field research as my main method,complemented by literature method, experience method, questionnaire and interview andcomparative analysis. It analysis the current situation of teachers’ professionaldevelopment, the constraints preventing higher vocational college teachers from achievingself-round development. This thesis is closely around the promoting higher vocationalcollege teachers’ all-round development.This article is divided into following sections:1. The background and significance of the study, the research status at home andabroad, the paper research methods and structures are introduced.2. The theory of career development and an overview of performance evaluation: Itfocuses on constructing Vocational Teachers’ career development starting from the theoryof career development. This section covers the ordinary performance evaluation to thesignificance of vocational teachers’ performance evaluation, and performance assessment.3. The current status and the main problems of vocational teachers’ performanceevaluation system: this section mainly talks about China’s teachers’ performance evaluation system, and lists Jiangxi Vocational College of Finance and Economics as anexample to analyze teachers’ performance evaluation in China’s vocational colleges. Itsummarizes the existing system’s benefits and inadequacies.4. The establishment of vocational colleges’ teachers’ performance evaluation system:making clear school positioning; highlighting prominent characteristics of highervocational education; formulating the guidelines of higher vocational teachers’performance evaluation; refactoring evaluation index system; improving the evaluationsystem.5. Suggestions to improve higher vocational teachers’ performance evaluation level6.Conclusion: It pointed out the direction to the higher Vocational Colleges’ teachers’performance evaluation.
