With the impetus of quality education and lifelong physical ideology,Physical education play an important role in students’ physique and healthy development.PE teacher as school sports leader,is crucial to the students’ development.Reasonable and effective performance evaluation can promote PE teachers’ professional development,mobilize the enthusiasm of teachers,improving the quality of physical education,thus contributing to the development of students.Teacher performance evaluation is a complete system,including the purpose of the assessment,evaluation indicators,assessment methods,assessment results and feedback.If lack of fairness of the evaluation,the sports discipline weaken,evaluation indicators do not reflect the teachers real work performance,that will dampen PE teachers enthusiasm for work,impact the PE teachers’ professional development.The paper aims to find out the present status of physical education teachers’ performance evaluation of primary and secondary school in shanghai,including the purpose of the assessment,evaluation indicators,assessment methods,assessment results and feedback.Pointing the current problem of PE teacher performance evaluation and attribution analysis,and then make recommendations,in order to provide reference for the sports performance evaluation.Methods of questionnaire,comparative study are used in this paper on solving this problem.On the basis of the United States,Britain,the Taiwan region,Turkey and China’s mainland sports teacher performance evaluation program on the presentation compared and analyzed,selecting Shanghai four school teacher performance evaluation program for text analysis and comparison.Two questionnaires are designed according to the requirements of questionnaire and the objective and contents of research.One is sports leader questionnaire,which represents the implementation of the real school level,another is PE teacher questionnaire,representing teachers cognition.The purpose of the study is to understand the Present status of Physical education teachers’ performance evaluation of primary and secondary school in shanghai,and the views of the PE the towards teacher evaluation.Conclusion:There are exist some distinction between school teacher evaluation fact and PE teachers’ demands in the concept of performance appraisal, the assessment indicators,the main evaluation, assessment results.Including the distinct between the demands of teacher professional development and the schools’ reward and punishment actual,the teachers’ requirement of teachers’ quality and ability,as well as the multiple evaluators.The PE teachers’ workload are so heavy,PE teacher have to bear the extra-curricular sports activities,after-school sports training and so on,the heavy workload maybe the main reason to cause the ignore of the quality of teaching,the teachers’ workload is not clear,it exist the phenomenon that the student body measurements,organize competitions are ignored.The reward of PE teacher is little,their work can not reward fairly,that defeat the teachers’ enthusiasm.Currently,the teacher evaluation is not open,many teachers can not involve in the teachers’ evaluation program development,teacher do not understand the teachers’ evaluation content;the teachers are negative towards the fairness of evaluation,what they concern is their own effort and reward.School and teacher have not been realized the importance of evaluation feedback,the form of feedback is single,in some extent, the teacher evaluation have some positive effect,but the effect is limited,that rarely promoted teacher development,many teacher are dissatisfied with the teacher evaluation.Different city, different types of schools, schools of different types of seniority(emphasis and de-emphasis) are likely to be have difference in the assessment indicators, as well as differences in teacher appraisal satisfaction, there is a relationship between satisfaction assessment and evaluation results.
