In recent years, during the process of the continuous improvement and adjustment of educational structure in our country, the most eye-catching point is the rise and development of vocational education, especially the rapid development of China’s Higher Vocational education. And at the same time, as the first resource of the education, the team of the teachers in Higher Vocational Colleges is also growing rapidly in a relatively short period of time, which makes the Higher Vocational College Teachers’ performance evaluation work gradually catch the attention of the higher vocational institutions and personnel departments. However, currently in most of higher vocational college, teachers’ performance appraisal is generally in the exploratory stage. They mainly draw lessons from common enterprises experience, or take the same method and mode of the teachers’ performance appraisal with ordinary high schools’. In fact, teachers in the higher vocational college are different in general employees of enterprises and institutions and with ordinary teachers in Higher Vocational Colleges in social mission, development requirements and development goal. At the same time, different college teachers’ performance evaluation work should also highlight the features of colleges and universities.The current teacher performance evaluation program of Guangxi X Vocational College is just the result of the drawing on the experience of enterprise employees’ evaluation program and the transplanting of the evaluation program of ordinary universities. Although the use of the more advanced assessment methods, in a certain extent, effectively promotes teachers’ performance management work and has certain incentives for teachers in the X collage, but for that it failed to appropriate performance appraisal philosophy as a guide, the position performance appraisal of college is not clear, in the determination of the content of teacher performance appraisal program and program implementation process still have more aspects need to be optimized.In this paper, on the basis of several relevant theories of performance management, considering the current development background of Higher Vocational Colleges, the situation of Vocational College Teachers’performance evaluation in China and the nature, location, strategic development goals of X College, and also the college teachers actual situation, analyzes the problems and reasons existed in current teacher performance evaluation system in X College. Then on the basis of the current objective environment of X Collage, the paper puts forward several feasible optimization strategies and implements measures to improve the performance evaluation, trying to make some contribution to the work of teachers’ performance evaluation in X Collage. At the same time, this paper also aims to provide some reference for the improvement and optimization of the performance evaluation program in similar vocational colleges.
