Social Work Group Mode Involved In The Application Of The Poor Students In Career Planning

In the current severe employment situation, students from poor families as a special group in the students’ employment show more self-esteem and disadvantages than the common student.On one hand, they undertake more pressure for the poorer economic conditions and relatively fewer social resources than ordinary students, On the other hand, family poverty make some students feel less self-confidence, despair, lack of direction and power of learning. Students from poor families are in a relatively disadvantaged position in the work force, they need not only material help, but also the care of spirit and terms of employment. Therefore, the study involving the application in poor students’ career planning work is a relatively new topic of social work, which can help students from poor families to improve self-confidence, develop a scientific career planning, to establish a correct outlook on employment and solve the employment problem, to help their families go out from poverty, and ultimately obtain self-reliance.In this study, we take the "poor students in career planning project" carried out by Municipal Civil Affairs Bureau of city Z as a typical case, analysis group work in the poor students in career planning project application process and the achievements through the elaboration of group activities:through the group activities, group members can deepen their self-understanding and the individual’s self-perception from their own advantages and disadvantages, career interests and tendency. Members not only have a planning consciousness for their future career, and learning resume production, the interview recruitment processes, and use the interviewing skills into group practice.But there are some problems in the process:the lack of professional skills of social workers, poor design of activities, insufficient comprehensive ability, lack of communication which delay the activities, affect the original plan and shorten the work time. Therefore, we should focus on improving the professional ability and comprehensive ability of social workers in the future practice, designing of group activities scientific and rationally, the workers should have a comprehensive communication before activities advance and appropriately extend the service to ensure the effectiveness of the services, and target tracking assessment of improved mechanisms established at the end of the service.
