At present, the university has been generally carried out of college students career planning courses. However, colleges and universities due to various reasons mostly adopt one-way to impart knowledge, that is teachers only share their knowledge and method to students and no any other interactions, resulting in monotonous way of courses, students into the degree will be insufficient, curriculum effect is not significant and so on. In this paper, based on professional social work practice, the author carried out college students career planning group activities, starting from the practical level, the use of group work methods and techniques, the operation of the link activity, needs assessment, team members growth evaluation of the effectiveness of the record, results and the reflections on the shortcomings and problems, to analysis group work on the feasibility of college students career planning intervention.The early teams collect and statistics needs questionnaire, a clear demand in the occupation career planning team and the team of social workers and expectations. According to the different levels of demand, the students will be divided into two groups. And the group activities of each period are six classes. In the practice, the team members divided into different roles:the leader of the group work, assistant social worker and observe social worker. The leader of the group leads students to complete the whole process of group activities; assistant social worker provides complementary activities; observe social worker does not participate in whole activities, and she will be responsible for the different point of the observed group recorded for later discussion and documentation. At the end of the group, the main work is the data’ summary, statistics and analysis. Post consolidation evaluation data are both qualitative data collection including observations, suggestions that the team members given, results of social workers’ discussions, supervision, and evaluation of quantitative data analysis consist of evaluation of group effectiveness and group members’ self growth evaluation. This review summarizes the advantages and disadvantages of group activities, to give basis for the further improvement of the group provides.In this mode of practice, social worker team with the actuality developed a group cycle practice mode. That is by evaluation results and members’ feedback suggestions, combining with the needs assessment of students, to targeted adjust the details of the practice scheme to make it easier to meet the needs of each of the team members, to improve the effectiveness of the activities. Data showed the practice group in the process of using interventional technique has achieved remarkable effect, which also shows social work intervention in college students career planning is feasible, and results can be achieved. From this, we can make an in-depth study of the social work practice methods in college career planning. On the one hand, it is not only to develop social work practice field, on the other hand, is also a professional career planning in interactive learning mode innovation is conducive to better improve the course quality.
