In colleges and universities, the classroom education is the main channel that carries out qualityeducation for students. While the classroom education can’t adapt to the request of the quality education.So this needs the second class. The second class is the supplement of the first class and broke the limitationof space and time. It has various forms. Gradually the second class becomes the important carrier of thequality development, innovation consciousness, practical ability, potential and personality reshaping.However, in the process of implementation of propulsion, there are still many problems and shortcomingsand the second class didn’t really work. The main performance is: single form, still in the traditionalteaching mode, not exert students’ main body status, the effect of students’ personalized diathesis is notobvious, teaching resources support is not enough and so on. In recent years, Internet users began to pursuethe more real application experience, and then the SNS (social network service) arises at the historicmoment. In the SNS community, users are the creator of information, and the message what they receivedis real.It is not only increase the diversity but also improve the students’ active participation enthusiasmthat the second is carried in the SNS community. Students relate their own topics and combine into asubject group, and then group managers or teachers vary from person to person to arrange tasks. Groupmembers complete the subject activities collaboratively, achieve real-time communication through the SNScommunity, and release the fruits of activities in community to evaluate each other and improve together.Finally, it realized students’ personal development.The main contents of the thesis are as follows:1. The thesis made some related research on the concept of the second classroom, SNS andcurrent situation of related research at home and abroad, combining with related theories, and summarizedthe second class of the network based on SNS learning mode.2. This thesis combined with the problems of the second classroom and the characteristics of SNS,and built up a theoretical model of the second class of the network based on SNS. Model is divided intotwo parts, online and offline. Online part is a platform for the launch, discussion and final rendering of activity; offline part is the realization of activities. The combination of both is the implementation of thesecond classroom of the network. Activity carried out based on "topic-subject-question-task" for theprocess. In the process, this article analyzed each of the elements in the model and stick out the learners’personalized realization in the second class.3. On the basis of the theoretical model, through demand analysis, the thesis completed systemdesign of the college second class of the network based on SNS, analyzed the structure of the system, andgot the main function modules. Finally it chose ThinkSNS as the development system and PHPnow asdevelopment platform, and then designed and developed a SNS learning community instance that is namedfor “Second Class of the Network--Gathering knowledge outside the classroom”.
