It has been14years since the eighth curriculum reform started. Atpresent, the national curriculum standard replaces the current syllabus ofprimary and secondary schools. Curriculum reform did update teachingconcept but the pace of the execution still couldn’t keep up with the paceof curriculum reform, That is to say, teachers’ teaching and students’learning has not kept up with the pace of reform. People often say thatthought is the guide to action, but it is pointless for the growth of teachers,and the development of the students if there is advanced concept of light,but no an operational and right teaching mode. Traditional politicsteaching mode lacks autonomous learning, cooperative learning, inquirylearning, and the students just passively accept knowledge without acomplete learning process. At the same time, teacher’s teaching process isnot complete, only to prepare teaching materials and knowledge.Therefore, to reform the way of teaching becomes an important content ofteaching reform because effective teaching depends on effective teachingmethods and patterns. Thus, it becomes urgent to explore a teaching modewhich can reflect modern education philosophy and highlight thestudents’ main body status in class and complete teaching process so thatthe efficiency of teaching will be improved and the students’comprehensive quality will be promoted. Based on high school politicsclasses, the article analyzes teaching program, theoretical basis, essence,and evaluation of a new teaching mode which requires students to learnbefore the teacher presents and reach the learning goals in class. Themodel fully embodies a teaching principle that students are main body while the teacher is a guider in class and helps the students study activelyrather than passively. Only when students study effectively under theguidance of teachers, can we say this class is truly efficient. Efficientclass aims to let students get more knowledge, develop ability, form agood habit, cultivate emotion, and satisfy the need of life-longdevelopment. The model can reflect the teaching idea that students shouldreflect on study and the teacher should teach students in accordance oftheir aptitude. The mode requires the students to learn autonomously andcooperatively, which can not only ease the burden of students, but alsocan improve learning ability of students. And the mode can also improvethe quality of teaching and the style of study, and let every student learnand learn well. In future society, competition is the talent competition. Tokeep pace with the Times means to foster more and better qualifiedtalents for the society.
