In the prosperity and development of the motherland today,the implementation and development of education is also more attention.The new curriculum reform proposed to cultivate al-round development of high-quality talent,and strived to reform the old and difficult standards.So that students not only for the results of learning,but for their own Ideal.We are proud of this reform,because we can cultivate students' moral,wisdom,labor and so on;At the same time,we have encountered the greatest chal enge,facing education reform,the first reform should be teachers themselves.Looking at foreign education,they usual y pay attention to Thanksgiving education,practical education,training children self-practice and innovation ability,these are worth for studying.Geography education began to focus on the development of geographical literacy,the middle school will not only to teach students the basic knowledge,but also to develop emotional attitudes and the ability to adapt to life.Among a variety of capabilities,the most impotent ability is reading chart.Mastering the chart reading ability will be able to better understand the expression of the knowledge.And also a vivid way to understand common sense and methods.There are also many researches on the cultivation of students' chart reading at home and abroad,.Especially the United States,they are not sticky to do the questions and examinations,but the competitions and the practice of exploration what studengts are interested in.Encouraged students to learn geography and really achieved the quality education.Domestic geography teachers are also pay attention to the cultivation geography chart reading ability.Trying the new education model,the development of the Internet to help students grasp the geographical chart reading ability.This paper follows the pace of newest geography education,studies how to cultivate high school students geography chart reading ability,the full text is divided into six parts:The first part,narrative background and significance of the topic,the topic of domestic and international research trends,research ideas and methods.The second part,the definition of concepts and the elaboration of basic theoretical knowledge.Mainly to the new curriculum as a background to explain the geographical chart reading ability,classification and composition.The third part,the author investigates the current situation about how the teachers in high school to cultivate geographic chart reading abilities,and makes a questionnaire for the teachers and the questionnaire for the students.It aims to understand the high school geography chart reading ability through the teaching and learning.Analysis data after the education and teaching in the shortcomings and errors.The fourth part,according to the teaching experience,i put forward training measures from teacher,family,students to improve the reading ability of the chart.Focusing the training measures on changing the teaching methods and combined with a certain type of teaching content.The fifth part,this paper starts from the small point of "natural disaster and prevention",and uses the teaching case analysis to improve the reading ability of middle school students' geography.The sixth part,the shortcomings and prospects of the study.
