Independent College Curricula

As the main platform of the compound and practical talent training, independent colleges are getting more and more concern and attention, in which the education quality has become the focus of attention. Curriculum is a concentrated expression of the independent college education quality, and the important carrier to realize the goal of personnel training. The curriculum is in certain educational goals and objectives for training guidance, by a certain education and curriculum values determined, by the school or educational departments according to students, social and scientific needs, there are plans for the development and course selection of a series of practical activities. The curriculum of independent college must conform to the needs of society to cultivate compound and application oriented talents as the goal, must reflect the school on the development of social economy, the progress of science and technology and occupation post adaptation. But the current independent school curriculum can not do this, the only way out is to curriculum reform, so the study of how the independent college curriculum reform are great of significance.This research based on empirical research, visited school, questionnaire survey, select my undergraduate major electrical engineering and automation as an example, investigate several independent colleges curriculum situation, analyze the problems and find reasons, and then combines with the curriculum theory and independent college characteristics, puts forward the curriculum reform of independent colleges.The full text is divided into4parts:the first part is the introduction, put forward the background of the research and the significance, the research literature review and the research methods.The second part firstly elaborated the connotation of independent college and the identity of independent colleges, and then discusses the connotation of curriculum, the curriculum in independent colleges and aims, finally research the theoretical basis of the independent college curriculum.The third part is about the present situation investigation of independent institute curriculum, take the electrical engineering as an example, according to the college visits, and school leadership and teacher interviews and a questionnaire survey. Through the investigation we found some problems in the training target, curriculum content, curriculum structure, evaluation of curriculum of independent institute.The fourth part is through the analysis of the survey results, based on my understanding of the independent college curriculum, pointed out that the independent colleges should be student-oriented, according to the training objectives and meet the demand of the society, the education content and curriculum system reform of practical training, scientific and advanced, teaching reform and construction, teachers team building.
