Tai Chi and brisk walking for fitness for the exercise to provide a theoretical basis for the elderly. Methods:Using MINATO pulmonary function AS-500type, the breathing function of the test subjects, the major test indicators include:vital capacity (VC), the biggest per minute ventilation (MVV), time of vital capacity (FVC).Results:1, exercise stage, tai chi group VC and FVC in the first12weeks of testing before the experiment appeared more significant difference, the first16weeks of testing there was a significant difference. MVV in the first16weeks there were significant differences; brisk walking group VC and FVC in the first12weeks of testing there were significant differences in the first16weeks of testing there was a significant difference, MVV in the16th week of significant changes; control group, no significant changes.2, stopped exercise training stage, MVV Tai Chi group at week24there were significant changes. Brisk walking group of VC in the first20weeks there were significant changes in the first24weeks there was a significant change, MVV at the24th week of significant change, FVC in the first20weeks there were significant changes; the control group no significant changes.3, in the exercise training stage, tai chi group and the brisk walking group respiratory function indexes were no significant differences; the cessation of exercise training stage, the tai chi group of respiratory function indexes better than brisk walking group.Conclusions:1, tai chi and brisk walking exercise can improve respiratory function in elderly women. 2, Tai Chi, and brisk walking exercise on the maintenance of respiratory function had some effect, tai chi exercise to maintain better than brisk walking exercise.
