Objective:In this research, the author will discuss the fitness effect and function mechanism of health qigong-yijinjing through six month’s observation of how and how much this kind of activity influenced the somatoplasm, blood presure, blood lipid, blood routine and pulmonary ventilation of some elderly women. By doing so, the author attempts to provide some theoretical reference and empirical basis to promote the development of health qigong-yijinjing and improve its positive effect in keeping fit.Methods:The research objects of this research are25ordinary elderly women who take participate in the exercise of health qigong-yijinjing in Xian. Under the instruction of the fitness instructor, these experimental subjects take the exercise of health qigong-yijinjing for an hour at the fixed time(morning)in the fixed location everyday.This process lasts for six months. We test and record somatoplasm, blood presure, blood lipid, blood routine, pulmonary ventilation and some other indexes of these experimental subjects before and after the intervention in order to make a comparison.Results:1.After six month’s exercise of yijinjing, the choice reaction time of the experimental objects are significantly shorter than what they have before the intervention(p<0.01), and the Seat body anteflexion and stepping index are significantly greater than before as well(p<0.01).2. After six month’s exercise of yijinjing, the systolic blood presure(SBP), diastolic blood presure(DBP), pulse presure(PP), mean arterial presure(MAP) and heart rate(HR) of the experimental objects are all lower than before, although the difference dosen’t reach the statistical signifance, these indexes show good tendency.3. After six month’s exercise of yijinjing, the blood glucose(Glu) and total cholesterol conrtent(TC) of the25experimental objects are significantly lower than bofore(p<0.05). While, although the Triglyceride comtent(TG) and low density lipoprotein cholesterol(LDL-C) are lower than before too, the difference is not significantly(p>0.05). Besides, the result shows that these experimental subjects’high density lipoprotein cholesterol(HDL-C) are slightly taller than before(p>0.05). All the results tell us that the six month’s exercise of yijinjing has a well regulating effect on people’s blood lipid.4. After six month’s exercise of yijinjing, the number of white blood cell(WBC), red blood cell(RBC) and blood platelet of these experimental subjects are slightly increased(P>0.05), while other red blood cell indexes including hemoglobin(HGB), hematokrit(HCT) and mean corpuscular hemoglobin(MCH) are significantly improved(p<0.05). Although the mean corpuscular volume(MCV) and mean corpuscular hemoglobin concentration(MCHC) is not significantly different from that of before(p>0.05), there still exists a tendency to increase. The results show that health qigong·yijinjing is favourable for blood components.5. Six month’s exercise of yijinjing has a positive effect on the function of pulmonary ventilation. After the intervention, the forced vital capacity(FVC), forced expiratory colume in1second(FEV1), vital capacity(VC), FIVI/vc%and inspiratory capacity(IC) of the experimental subjects are slightly improved(p>0.05), but the difference is not significant. At the same time, the peak expiratory flow(PEF), PEF25-27, forced inspiratory volume(FIV1),peak inspiratory flow(PIF) and Maxmimum ventilatory Volume (MVV) per minute are significantly increased(p<0.05) than bfrore, and the exhalation time(PET) is noteworthly reduced(p<0.01). The results remind us that health qigong-yijinjing can effectively alleviate the ainway resistance and improve the contraction function of the respiratory muscle.Main conclusions:1.Health qigong-yijinjing can effectively improve elderly women’s body flexibility, cardio-pulmonary function and the excitability of nervous system, thus it can enhance their body constitution.2. Health qigong-yijinjing is an effective way for elderly women to guard against the attack of hypertension and keep their blood presure normal.3. The exercise of health qigong-yijinjing has a good regulating effect on elderly women’s blood lipid and blood glucose, so it can prevent the occurance of diseases like arteriosclerosis.4. The exercise of health qigong-yijinjing can strengthen the immune function and aerobic matabolism of elderly women.5. The exercise of health qigong-yijinjing can obviously enhance the pulmonary ventilation function of elderly women, that’s to say, it has a good influence on these experimental subjects’pulmonary function.
