Materials occupies a very important position in the four major processes of teaching Chinese as a foreign language, which is very essential for teaching and learning. It is a concrete manifestation of the overall design of teaching, and the basis of teaching and test, it also plays an indispensable connect role in teaching processes. It embodies two basic aspects in the process of teaching Chinese as a foreign language:"what to teach" and "how to teach", so it is very important and significant that we should focus on the study of textbook compilation, while training as an important part of teaching material that is directly related to the teaching quality of foreign language, which is also related to the acquisition of students’ language skills. The intermediate stage is the bridge that connecting the primary stage and the advanced stage, which is very important year for students to master and improve the Chinese language skills.This paper selects and analysis three sets of intermediate Chinese textbooks that has relatively large impact and use frequently in the school teaching, which were investigated from the exercises design; quantity and types on three sets of teaching materials. this paper were discussed, research and summary the characters of three sets of textbooks from the importance of practice; practice setting; compiling and other related issues, and put forward my own views and suggestions.In the end, according to the comparative analysis to summarize the results of a Chinese textbook compilation inspiration, and throw out some feasible suggestions, and also offer some reference for the future teaching textbook compilation, thereby; providing some useful information for intermediate Chinese textbooks and the Chinese teaching.
