In1894, the Sino-Japanese War outbroke, and decades before it, the imperial power cognitions among China, the Korean Peninsula and Japan became markedly different. The imperial power of China became secularized firstly. On the one hand, Confucianism ruled it from Ethics and Systems. On the other hand, it was the influence of Chinese traditional religious beliefs. On the eve of the Sino-Japanese War, the process of imperial power’s secularization reached the peak. The Imperial Power fell down.It not only led to all sorts of chaos but accelerated the collapse of Feudal System. The performances of this process includes the following aspects at least: Firstly, the clan force developed excessively;secondly, the corruption was rife, and laws became invalidated; thirdly, the royalty interest separated from national interest,"Imperial Power" was no longer on behalf of the state power;finally, some Han officials possessed Neo-Confucianist Thought which contained loving people and making countries settled, but it deviated subtly, so did not rule out the slaughter. The secularization of the imperial power of Korean Peninsula closely followed by China, the ancient concept changed tremendously with the spread of Confucianism. Fettering the old system, the dictatorship of maternal relatives and Partisan struggles were becoming more and more seriously. The authority of Feudal Imperial Power was weakened. The special place was that the Korean peninsula was more easy to accept the condition of women wield power. Because it was contradicted with the female concept in Confucianism, eventually became an important reason for the dictatorship of maternal relatives. After Sino-Japanese War, Korean Peninsula fell to enemy occupation. This caused by its own rigid ideas and systems, as well as the crushing defeat of the Bei Yang Fleet. In addition, regime in chaos, especially the dictatorship of maternal relatives, all caused this bad result. The circumstance of Modern Japan was special. Mikado--the emperor of Japan, got out of worldly politics basically as early as the9th century, thereby avoiding the imperial power becoming thoroughly secularized. But the past dynasties emperors always kept a subtle distance with politics, making their images more likely to be awakened at a critical moment. When the shogunate went downhill, the image of the emperor was rebuilding. Mikado’ authority got a unprecedented absolution, benefited from the implementation of Emperor System. The reasons why it could be pushed without any hinder in Japanese society contained two points.First,up responsible layer by layer, such strict hierarchy was basic; and then, State Shinto’ establishment under an ancient Shinto tradition was auxiliary. Traditional Japanese people could not be divorced from the control of the hierarchy and the Shinto faith. So when the two points were used by rulers, it really produced a huge negative impact in people’s spirit world.Through a comparison, it can be seen that, in the late feudal society, different perceptions for Imperial Power among China, Korean Peninsula and Japan, really made different impacts. When these three countries were faced with the lack of authority of Imperial Power, all of them had tried to "search" it, but the results were not the same. The innovation of this paper lies in, trying to through the research and discussion on the three kinds of imperial power’s developments--China, Korea peninsula and Japan--as well as their legitimacy and external performances, consequently, trigger out the ponder regarding Sublime in oriental style, and illustrate its significance in our real lives.
