Zhang Ji is one of the famous poets in Mid-Tang Dynasty. As an activeparticipant in the movement of the new Yuefu poem, Zhang Ji played a roleof bridge and transition between Du Fu and Bai Juyi. As a realisticpoet, his poems are of actual and allegorical. In the way of thought, headvocated the Confucianism, but cxclused Buddhism and Taoism ideologyinstead. His poetry genre is also comprehensive---five-character poetry,seven-character octave, seven-character poems quatrains, Yuefu Poetryetc.. At that age, his poems have been well-known and widely learned. However, even as such a famous and weighty poet, his live-life history andother historical records for his life are relalively brief either onhistory-books or on historical materials. There are only a few simple words describes his life experience In"OldTang","New Tang Dynasty History". In addition,"The genius of TangDynasty"and other novels also give readers a general understanding of hislife-time. As for the Zhang’s family, basically no historical date has beenclearly documented. Ever from professor BianXiaoXuan did begin thesystematic study on Zhang Ji’s life. However, for about which there aresome controversial problems. After reading through the textual researchof historical data and the results of previous studies, I think that thereare still have study space about his family and his life. So I will tryto make my analysis and study from the following three aspects. There was no published Zhang Ji poetry in the world when he was alive.Until Zhang Ji(another person lived in Southern Tang Dynasty) collectedhis works and then edited and published them, Zhang’s book beganspreading in the world as a whole. In the later books---"Jun Zhai Reading","Chongwen catalogue","New Tang Dynasty Histry "," The genius of TangDynasty ","Baichuan Shuzhi","all the ancient Tang collection"---areof the description of him. In this thesis, I will take Yu Shucheng, Xu Lijie"Zhang set years school note" as the master copy for this study. The contents of Zhang Ji’s poetry stretch across multiple domains:lyrical poems, responsory and presenting poems, those of reflecting thebeneficial to the people’s livelihood and social status...everything thatone expects to find, especially his poetry is becoming more "genre of lateTang" source. Now,I will divide Zhangji’s poetry into six categories: thepain of war, focusing on women, contrast of government and the people, lyric, lyric with chanting, viewing responsory and presenting. I willcarry on the concrete analysis to each kind of poetry, make their ownassessment. Through the hundreds of poems, people can also find Zhang’sthoughts behind them. This passage also discusses his attitude toConfucianism, Buddhism and cherished ideal of literature. In anotherway,I also show the Zhang’s spirits. In his relations with the governmentof the people at that time they became a much-told story of the literaryworld. This article mainly describes between him and Han Yu, Meng Jiao,Wang Jian, Bai Juyi, Pei Du, and reflects the status of friendship.Asone of the famous poets on a stand in the literary world and an achievablepoet, The reason for his being able to pass the name later is just becausehe has a unique style of his own in the Chinese literature. His poetrymostly plain natural, rustic revealed a praise and admiration to the workmethod of the ancient ages. The famous writer Bai Juyi once said that hispoetry was"full of social function and allegorical function". Personly,Ibelieve what he said is right. In addition, even by nowerdays hisworks-focus still has literature value and is still worthy of ourattention and research.By reading or even going over his poetry, peoplecan see into the social situation, various customs, the true condition ofpeople, people’s living-life and social system in the Mid-TangDynasty.The poetry furtherly provides valuable information for theunderstanding of about the antient Tang Dynasty.
