As the last peak of poetry during the Tang dynasty (618-907AD), nearly half of LIShangyin’s poems are more or less with an image of audition. Due to this point, the thesis startsresearch with aural image of LI’s poems. Meanwhile, I combined LI’s unique life experience withConfucianism, Buddhism and Taoism integration, distinctive aesthetic interests and the specialhistorical background of Tang dynasty. To the aural image of LI’s poems, by doing a muchfull-scale, systematic analysis and research, I explored the distinctive implications and the furtherimpacts to the future. Based on this, a general research on the mood and aesthetic preference ofthe late-Tang dynasty has been raised.
