On The Cultural Implication Of Images In Zheng Min's Poetry

Chinese modernism poetry has undergone it's development for 80 years since the 1920s'. Though the modern poets have gone through many detours in advance and encountered much misunderstanding, these all have already gone. Time has already proved these modern poets' remarkable contribution to the history of Chinese poetry. It is they that shorten the distance of advanced literature in the world . Zheng Min,as one of famous Nine Ye poets in the 1940s', has been pursuing on the creation road of the poem all the time. From modernism in the 1940s' to the last modernism today, she is trying to exceed herself, combine ancient and modren,the east and the west. In the lonely small room, Zheng min not only ponders over lives and things around herself, but also extends the visual angle of art to the universe and mankind, and explores the ultimate meaning of life through the unconscious abyss. Thus she molds several crowds of images of individual characters in her poems .The thesis consists of four parts: mother image, lonely image, life image and death image. As a woman and a mother, Zheng Min sings the praises of mother love of lofty and great among her poems. The great in mother love displays that mother can storongly pass by the suffering, give children love and warm, and be devoted to the motherland. No matter when snd where, the poet will pitch her own root deeply on mother's earth persistently. The great love makes the poet love the land and people deeply,which also casues her to deliberate in loneliness The poet thinks deeply about national history, tradiontal culture and modern civilization. She hopes we can hold fast to the position of intellectual civilization and not lose our way in external noise.
